The Department of Biological Sciences has 38 faculty members who provide quality instruction and research opportunities in a broad spectrum of disciplines leading to the B.S., B.A., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, allowing students to pursue a career in the biological sciences, move on to professional schools, or become educators/researchers.
Faculty members are involved in independent and collaborative research in cell biology, ecology and evolutionary biology, exercise physiology and muscle biology, microbiology, molecular biology, physiology, and neuroscience.
